Medalogix Adds Five Members to its Tech Team

NASHVILLE, Tennessee, March 14, 2017 – Nashville-based healthcare predictive analytics firm, Medalogix, adds five newmembers to its tech team, all from the local talent pool.

John Cantrell and Chris Chapman as senior data platform engineers, Chad Horton as devops manager, Sathish Kumar as vice president of technology and Ben Ward as senior platform developer.

As senior data platform engineers, Cantrell and Chapman are responsible for creating and improving Medalogix’s web development and application architecture.

Previously, Cantrell served as Change Healthcare’s business intelligence architect. There, he was responsible for designing and implementing a data warehouse in AWS Redshift that supported internal and customer-facing reporting portals. Cantrell has more than 25 years of experience in IT, with a career that has included customer support, Microsoft technical training, network engineering and more than 15 years of database administration, development and architecture in both transactional and analytic environments. John holds an associate’s degree in liberal arts and is certified in MCSE+I, MCDBA and MCP+SB.

Chapmanbrings 18 years of software development experience the team, with previous roles at Servpro and Cracker Barrel. Chapmanholds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from MTSU.

As devops manager, Horton is responsible for implementing deployment strategies and managing AWS environments. Horton brings 9 years of IT experience to the team with previous roles at Servpro and Beck/Arnley. Horton holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and business administration from MTSU.

As vice president of technology, Kumar will lead the Medalogix development team, defining best practices, recruiting and nurturing top talent. He has 15 years of experience, including roles as a developer, enterprise architect and IT manager for companies including Warner Brothers, Macy’s and Express Scripts. Kumar holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Madras University and is pursuing an MBA from the University of Tennessee Chattanooga.

As senior platform developer, Ward will be responsible for creating and improving the company’s information systems. He brings 15 years of software development experience to the team and has held positions with Cracker Barrel, Servpro and most recently, Cigna Healthspring.
